The Orange-A-Day Diet

Pineapple

My orange today was a half.  I can’t process too much sugar and this was one whopping orange!  My daughter and I split it.  How about you?  Have you found a delicious pineapple.  The one I purchased again today to aid the habit was only $2.99, in these parts, that’s a good price.  The last one was wonderful.  The orange today, not so.

Reach for the peppers, too.  Just a handful should do.  This will be our routine for the remainder of the week.  If for some reason your pineapples are icky looking or your peppers too pricey or vice versa, pick another veg/fruit and do your best to stick with it.  If one day you can’t get at the routine, don’t sweat it.  Just get back on the horse the next day.  If I can practice this, you certainly can, too!

Try to get in some exercise.  Peruse the net for some good floor exercises at home.  Park farther from the entrances you must walk to and climb as many stairs as you can.  Boost your metabolism in whatever way you can.  We’ll get on the scale beginning next week to see about progress.  I’m feeling better now.

Talk to you soon.

a day to celebrate…

with a biggie breakfast as my family calls it, homemade chicken pot pie and last but not least, brownie sundaes… and somewhere in between (and thankfully!) a long, long walk in the bog.  And all because– it was my daughter’s birthday!  Tomorrow, I promise I’ll be good.

I haven’t quite decided the fruit… let’s make it pineapple since my husband just cut up a good ripe one!  Try this mixed with some plain yogurt.  Maybe a handful of nuts and granola and there you’ll have breakfast or a great afternoon snack.  Don’t forget your orange (tangelo etc. if fine, of course) and peppers.  Have a great start to a great week!
